Harper Woods — On routine financial business, the City Council approved payments related to the Michigan Clean Water Bond Program and the lead service line replacement project and adopted an amended interlocal agreement with SMART.
A resolution approved payment to US Bank Trust Company for semiannual interest on the Michigan Clean Water Bond account and principal on the lead service line replacement project in a combined total of $32,287.50 (interest listed as $19,687.50). The council adopted the resolution by roll call.
Separately, council members voted to adopt a revised interlocal agreement between the City of Harper Woods and SMART (Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation), which preserves the community credits the city agreed to provide and adds a member-cities indemnification clause that the member cities requested. The motion to adopt the amended agreement carried.
The council had earlier passed its consent agenda (items 1–7) after a public question about apparent mismatches between agenda check totals and written checks; staff said the agenda shows updated current-month figures. The consent agenda passed by roll call with the seven named members recorded as voting yes.
