The Mount Clemens City Commission approved a three-year collective bargaining agreement between the City of Mount Clemens and International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 838.
City staff reported that the contract covers the period from July 1 through June 30, 2028, has been reviewed by the city attorney and aligns with the tentative agreement previously presented to the commission. “City administration and International Association of Firefighters Local 838 have reached an agreement on a 3 year labor contract,” City Manager Shipman said.
Commission discussion was brief; commissioners indicated they had the opportunity to review the tentative agreement and noted no substantive changes since the last review. The motion to approve the agreement was moved and supported, and the commission conducted a roll call vote to authorize execution of the contract.
Next steps: staff will finalize execution of the contract as authorized and will file the agreement as part of the city’s labor relations records.
