The Mount Clemens City Commission voted on a series of routine and agenda-change items Tuesday, approving a $20 inspection and registration fee for golf carts, authorizing payment of invoices, adopting the consent agenda and moving into a closed session to discuss a potential property purchase.
The commission adopted a resolution implementing a golf-cart inspection and registration fee under the new ordinance; city staff said the measure sets the fee at "$20, which includes 1 complimentary reinspection if required." Commissioners noted the ordinance itself will still require a second reading before the ordinance portion is final.
The commission also moved to approve purchases and payments of presented invoices and to adopt the consent agenda; roll-call votes were recorded as affirmative by the commissioners present. Earlier in the meeting the commission approved minutes as presented.
Late in the meeting an amendment to the agenda adding a closed session to discuss the potential purchase of property was moved and carried. The commission recessed and held the closed session; no public action or purchase decision was announced after the closed session.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn following the closed session.
