"City of Mount Clemens received the SEMCOG safe streets and roads for all grant in the amount of $80,320 for the purpose of designing a downtown district safety action plan," Shipman said.
Why it matters: The plan is intended both to prioritize safety improvements and to qualify the city for additional implementation grants that require an adopted safety action plan. Commissioners noted the plan is a prerequisite for pursuing other grants and that implementation will likely require securing additional funding.
