TOPEKA — Before resuming the hearing on SCR 1616, the committee handled two procedural bill requests.
A senator announced a request for RS 26RS2961, described as legislation enacting the Health Care Sharing Ministries Tax Deduction Act to provide a subtraction modification for qualified health care sharing ministry expenses. The committee accepted the request with no objections.
The chair also introduced a request to exclude the buyer’s premium from the sale price of property purchased at auction (RS $26.39). That request likewise drew no objection and was made part of the committee’s docket.
No further debate or votes were recorded on either bill request at the session; the items will be scheduled for future committee action.
