Rapid City’s Zoning Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission approved a series of routine land-use actions Aug. 8, including a variance to permit asphalt millings for equipment display areas, a conditional-use permit for an oversized detached garage, approval for an RV rental business at 1802 Elm Avenue and amendments to two tax increment district (TID) project plans.
The Zoning Board opened the meeting by approving its July 25 minutes. The board then approved a variance allowing asphalt millings for drive aisles and vehicle-display areas on a light-industrial parcel near Dakota Craft Drive, with staff recommending an annual dust-palliative to reduce tracking and off-site impacts. The variance was approved by motion (Karen) and second (Mike Quasney) by voice vote.
