District staff said the contracts include Naviance for college and career exploration ($22,886, education fund), PowerSchool Performance Matters for data warehousing ($15,923.69, Title IV), PowerSchool Schoology as the district learning‑management system ($32,711.31, education fund) and Turnitin for plagiarism detection and AI‑assisted writing feedback ($35,359.38, curricular materials fund). "Naviance is the tool that we utilize," a district official said, adding the product helps the district meet IDOE compliance for college and career exploration.
The superintendent's office described Performance Matters as a central repository that combines iLearn, NWEA and DIBELS data to make student‑performance analysis faster and more accessible for staff. Turnitin was described as supporting writing instruction across subjects by offering feedback to students in a format similar to a writing conference.
Trustees moved, seconded and approved the contracts by roll call. The board did not amend the subscription terms during the meeting; staff said the purchases will be paid from the funds noted during the presentation.
