(total shown in staff report as $339,593.4), an inspection services agreement with AW Industries for $9,500, and a materials testing and deputy inspection services contract with American Engineering Laboratories not to exceed $5,942.36.
Staff explained the state’s expansion of TK created the need for accessible restrooms at some sites and said compliance with ADA and TK requirements made the Landell project time‑sensitive. Trustee questions focused on whether the work could be deferred until a larger remodel, but staff reiterated the compliance timeline and the need to provide restroom accessibility for TK classrooms.
Trustees asked staff to include references in future staff reports noting when a project was approved in the master plan and to provide documentation that links implementation actions to previously approved plans. A trustee also noted that other existing TK restrooms at the site need upgrades and suggested the facilities master plan should address those additional needs.
