Deerfield Public Schools District 109’s board approved a slate of routine action items Wednesday, including payments, reports and a professional-services contract.
The board approved the bills for payment and the treasurer's report on roll-call votes. The annual enrollment update and employee compensation report were approved as presented. Minutes from the Aug. 15 and July 11 meetings were approved, with abstentions recorded from members who were absent from the cited meetings (Mr. Morrison, Miss Bonner and others where noted).
On facilities contracting, the board approved the recommendation to hire an owner’s representative under the agenda item brought forward for board action; roll call votes recorded unanimous "Aye" responses for that contract item.
All consent and action motions listed in the board packet were moved and approved by roll call. Where abstentions occurred, they were recorded on the official roll calls for minutes and special meeting approvals. The board then proceeded to committee reports and additional agenda business.
