The personnel committee confirmed a training and Q&A about Act 93 administrator compensation for Feb. 17, to be delivered remotely by King's Scribe and recorded.
Committee members also asked that the board consider whether to hire a solicitor to advise during Act 93 discussions. Some members insisted the statute requires the full board to 'meet and discuss' administrator compensation upon a written request from a majority of Act 93 administrators; others said the committee could meet first to gather information and then take issues to the full board.
During the meeting, the statutory language was read aloud: "school employers upon the written request of a majority of the school administrators in the district shall be required to meet and discuss in good faith with the school administrators on administrator compensation prior to the adoption of the compensation plan." Members agreed to place a discussion item on the work‑session agenda so the whole board can decide whether to retain legal counsel for Act 93 matters.
