Airport board adopts new video‑linked minutes format; August minutes approved

The Fayetteville City Airport Board on Sept. 18 approved the minutes of its August meeting and heard a staff demonstration of a new minutes and video‑archive workflow intended to make meetings more transparent to tenants and the public.

Jared, the airport director, demonstrated the city’s past‑meeting video archive and the board’s new “loose‑leaf” minutes format, which pairs brief time‑stamped summaries with links to the recorded meeting. Jared said the video “is generally on that website within 24 hours,” and explained the difference between the video (posted quickly) and the approved minutes (uploaded after the board formally approves them at the next meeting).

The new format shows time stamps next to each agenda topic so users can jump to the precise point in the recording. Jared told the board the format will record whether an item had “no action” or, when appropriate, the motion, mover and vote. Board members asked that the packet include a clear link to the permanent cable‑cast URL and that staff send a prominent notice to tenants explaining the new process.
