Council members probed the contract term. Macom said he generally prefers a five‑year term but could accept a shorter term. One councilor said a shorter contract would let an incoming council reassess costs; another said a five‑year term gives stability. After discussion, a council member moved to approve Resolution 2026‑3; the motion was seconded and the council approved the measure.
After the vote, staff and Macom arranged signing logistics so the company would receive fully executed copies. Macom thanked the council for the decision and reiterated the company’s commitment to local service.
