The Forestry Board presented county-level winners of its annual fifth-grade Arbor Day poster contest: third place Madison Heinbaugh (home school), second place Logan Cooper (Accent Elementary), and first place Addison Bridal (Accent Elementary). The board and Forestry Board members offered sugar maple seedlings to attendees; the sugar maple was noted as the county tree.
Both proclamations were ceremonial recognitions and drew congratulations from commissioners and staff. No formal board action beyond adopting the proclamations was required.
