Ocean Shores Civil Service Commission approves police eligibility list, holds executive session on candidate removals

Commissioners moved those items into executive session to "evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment under Revised Code of Washington 42.30.110(g)," the chair said, and the session was expected to last about 10 minutes with an anticipated return around 11:15 a.m.
Following the executive session the commission returned to the public meeting and approved both removal requests by voice vote; meeting minutes record the motions were seconded and the chair called for the ayes with no recorded opposition. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn.
The meeting record identifies commissioners Mike McGregor, Elizabeth Perry, Bob Richardson and Bob Krueger as present and shows a motion to excuse Commissioner Kathy Peterson. The transcript lists Kristen Jones as the presenter of the Sept. 4 eligibility list; on-the-record spoken remarks about the oral board came from a police department representative who appears in the transcript as an unnamed speaker.
