Ocean Shores Parks Board meeting recap: new member, outreach ad hoc and routine approvals

Ocean Shores — The Parks Board approved its agenda and the Aug. 14 minutes, welcomed newly sworn member Stacy Lin, formed an outreach ad hoc committee and agreed the next meeting will be Oct. 8.
Procedural actions: A motion to approve the Sept. 10 agenda passed unanimously. A subsequent motion approved the Aug. 14 meeting minutes. For new business the board assembled an ad hoc outreach team to gather input at Chinook, Emerson and the skateboard park; volunteers Robert Doring, Stacy Lin and Paul Winchester agreed to serve and will report back with outreach questions and recommendations.
The chair announced that Scott Anderson, the city administrator, will preside at the Oct. 8 meeting in the chair’s absence. The board moved to adjourn at about 1:45 p.m.; the motion passed.
No formal policy votes or ordinances were taken during the Sept. 10 session.
