Officials said the city acquired waterways corporation boats and completed the paperwork; crews are cleaning the boats, one needs deck repairs and another requires engine work. A steam pressure washer was purchased to prep the vessels, and staff said three jobs are lined up once crews are trained and certified to operate them.
The equipment purchases are intended to bolster storm and routine maintenance capacity. Committee members discussed timing and the impact of seasonal rain on mowing operations. No formal vote occurred in the meeting transcript; the lawnmower purchase will go to the council for consideration.
