The Morrow County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of consent-agenda items during its June 2 meeting, including routine payments, contracts, reappointments and motions to advertise hearings.
Items approved on roll calls included bills numbered 1 through 79, payments for salt brine fees to several vendors (Cardinal Center, Morrow Meadows, Fishburne Services/Farms, FLH Limited), a payment tied to an airport federal grant, sale of old phones, and a brownfield remediation grant payment. The board also approved transfers into the engineer’s fund and several journal entries related to applications from LHL Limited and campground management.
The board authorized a public hearing on a dust-control services feasibility application (for a proposer identified in the record as "Brian") and approved a special-event venue agreement with Edison Baptist Church with the chairman authorized to sign. Agreements with a local service center (recorded as the Central Ohio Use Center in the transcript) and a contract with the Central Ohio Youth Center for juvenile detention services were also approved.
Other consent items included approval to pay a late fee on Ohio Edison utility bills for county area transit; when a commissioner asked what caused the late payment, a county speaker attributed it to a prior employee and personnel turnover. The board reappointed a member to the Morrow County Zoning Board of Appeals and approved a school resource officer agreement between Northmor Local Schools and the county sheriff’s office. Pay application No. 1 from Jay Ranick Electric Inc. and pay application No. 1 from GW Mechanical and Plumbing for airport projects were approved as presented.
All consent and contract motions reported affirmative roll-call results in the transcript. Several items were moved, seconded and approved with three recorded affirmative votes.
