Price City Council approves $115,233.76 sewer camera system; consent agenda, including drug task force grant, also passes

The Price City Council on May 28 approved the purchase of a sewer camera system and passed its consent agenda, which included a drug task force grant.

Unidentified Chair opened agenda item 4a, Project 7C 2025, presenting a proposed purchase from Neverest Equipment Company for $115,233.76. The chair said the purchase ‘‘includes the complete camera system with 3 year parts and labor warranty and a $7,500 trade in credit’’ and noted the item had been budgeted.

Miles, a city staff member, described operational benefits: “The vital piece of our maintenance equipment … where we can inspect the condition of the sewer lines and try to head off problems,” and said the camera helps crews determine whether stoppages are on mainlines or laterals and address potential liability from sewer backups.
