The item, placed on the consent calendar, drew one brief public comment. Andrew Shaker Shahroar, Planting Justice’s director of infrastructure, told commissioners the multiple assessor parcels create a tax and administrative burden, complicate setbacks and utility sharing, and block a planned transfer of title to a land trust partner. "We purchased that in 2015," Shahroar said, and consolidating the parcels ‘‘will be helpful to move the property development forward.’’
Staff said the consent package included the necessary assessor parcel numbers and recommended approval. Commissioner Randolph moved to approve the consent calendar; the roll call vote was unanimous. Staff noted the decision is appealable to City Council within 10 days.
The action will allow Planting Justice and its partners to move ahead with the formal consolidation process and the planned title conveyance.
