At the agenda-setting meeting staff summarized five modifications that were moved to the consent/grouped items list for the Feb. 3 board meeting.
Item M1 was described as a contract extension for federal government relations and consulting services involving multiple regional entities. M2 is an annexation for Valley/Valerie Place in the Ellis Mountain Planning District. M3 is a rezoning request to reclassify property at 6505 Juniper Road from R-2 to R-4. M4 is a revision to a planned residential development (Z9407) to add five lots and parking area changes. M5 is an ordinance to enable a private club designation for Carrie Lou's doing business as Dreamland Lounge at 800 West 9th Street.
Brad (staff) explained that M3 is a simple rezoning and that the PRD revision adds 5 lots to a previously approved development. He said Dreamland and a similar event-center item are seeking ordinances so applicants can apply to the Alcoholic Beverage Control authority for a private-club license (ABC requires a private club category when alcohol is sold but food is not). Brad said these items are not ABC approvals — the board provides the ordinance that enables applicants to apply to ABC.
The items will be handled on the consent/grouped list unless a board member requests separate consideration.
