Staff presented a request to vacate two 5-foot drainage and utility easements that intersect a combined lot at 645 78th Avenue so the owner can develop a single-family residence. Staff reported letters of no conflict from Duke Energy, Pinellas County Utilities and Frontier Communications and said TECO/Peoples Gas and Charter had been contacted. The presentation noted drainage will be provided via swales as part of redevelopment.
Board members asked whether the easement vacation would worsen drainage; staff responded that the development would be required to grade the lot and address drainage and would not make flooding worse. A motion to recommend approval to the City Commission was moved and seconded; roll-call votes were all in favor and the motion carried.
