While larger federal allocations are in process, the state offered a smaller funding tranche to continue operations through June.
The county presenter stated the grant submission document includes budget figures discussed in the packet (a figure quoted in the meeting was $9,096,362) and said the state offered Montezuma County a small-dollar award of $48,181 covering Oct. 1 through June 30 as a retroactive allotment. The presenter said the county will pay half of a cited budgeted amount in its submissions and that portal issues delayed the process earlier in the cycle. The presenter requested signature authority: the chair and Speaker Anderson would need to sign the grant-submission form and separate reimbursement authorization forms so staff could submit and process reimbursements.
