County to consider iSolved hiring module to streamline recruitment and save ad spend

County staff presented a proposal to add an iSolved hiring module intended to centralize job postings, broaden reach to niche job boards and automate parts of the onboarding process.

Speaker 3, the staff presenter, said the module links to about 50 work boards (and a total network of around 6,000) and will let department heads view division-specific applicants, pre-interview candidates with short video Q&A and automatically push hires into onboarding forms. Staff reported they spent over $2,000 on a single run to recruit a road-and-bridge superintendent using external job boards and argued the module would reduce those recurring costs.

Costs and benefits: staff said the setup is slightly higher the first year (setup fees) and quoted $74.67 initially and $69.67 ongoing (per some unit of service described in the presentation). They estimated the county already spends comparable amounts annually when posting to multiple boards and emphasized administrative benefits on the HR side.

Board discussion focused on reach for local applicants and whether the platform would make it easier for local residents to apply; staff said the system ties into the county website and will simplify online submissions. Commissioners did not record a final vote; staff said they planned to proceed with implementation steps if directed.
