North Little Rock Wastewater utility honored; executive director named Arkansas Water Works manager of the year

Mayor Hartwick presented a mayor’s office communication announcing that the North Little Rock Wastewater utility had been honored with a platinum award for excellence in compliance by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) for two facilities. The mayor also said Michael Clayton, NLRWW executive director, was named the 2025 Arkansas Water Works and Water Environment Association manager of the year.
The mayor invited Michael Clayton forward for brief remarks and council questions. In response to a council query about the size of the service area, Clayton said the utility serves "about 42,000 accounts over 3 cities." Council members thanked Clayton and congratulated utility staff for their work.
The council moved to accept and file the communication and voted in favor.
