Greene County commissioners approve consent agenda, award land-use plan contract to Insight and enter closed session

Greene County commissioners approved their meeting agenda and consent items, awarded a contract for a new county land-use plan to consulting firm Insight, and moved into a closed session for attorney-client privilege before adjourning.

County Manager presented the procurement results for the county land-use plan, saying five proposals were received with bids “ranging from $73,000 to $196,000,” and noting the county had budgeted $100,000 for the work. County Manager said Planning Director Sutton recommended Insight as the selected bidder and introduced Insight’s representatives to the board for questions.

Following that presentation, a commissioner moved to approve Insight as the selected firm for the land-use plan and the board voted in favor. The board’s vote on the motion was recorded by voice as 'ayes' and the chair announced the motion carried.

Earlier in the meeting the board approved the agenda after a motion by a commissioner and a second, and later approved the consent agenda after the minutes were removed from that item. The consent agenda motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.

At the end of the regular session the chair asked for a motion to enter a closed session for attorney-client privilege; the motion was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The board then moved to adjourn.
