Carbondale Tree Board approves minutes, agrees to study citizen pruning pilot and revisit in January

Carbondale — The Carbondale Tree Board approved minutes from its previous meeting and spent the bulk of its November meeting discussing a proposed citizen pruning program intended to give residents hands-on training and limited maintenance responsibilities for public trees.

Vanessa Harmony presented a packet of models used by other communities and said the idea is “an interesting way to engage the public” by offering formalized training and opportunities for stewardship.
