"We expect it to increase our revenues conservatively by $50,000 a year, aggressively by 120 plus," Sherwin said, adding that alcohol sales are integral to many independent theaters because they help create an experience that draws people out of their homes.
Staff told trustees that the application package was complete and that the licensing review has not identified concerns about underage sales or over‑service in the theater environment. Trustee Bridal moved and Trustee Jess seconded the approval; the motion passed unanimously.
Next steps: Staff will send the approved application to the state for final processing. Trustees emphasized that the town will monitor compliance with licensing rules and expects the theater to adopt responsible service practices.
