"My my heart goes out to take special people to be able to do jobs like that," Unidentified Speaker 1 said, thanking Police, Fire and Candace and noting crews worked in heavy rain to repair the break. Unidentified Speaker 3 told the board staff had taken the crews out for lunch in recognition of their work.
During agenda review, Unidentified Speaker 3 moved to add a new business item: a design for cafe light installation on Church Street (Rob had distributed a packet). The board approved adding that item by voice vote.
Unidentified Speaker 1 recorded a motion by Chuck to adopt the consent agenda, seconded by John; the board approved the consent agenda by voice vote.
A presentation scheduled to promote a personnel change (promotion to lieutenant) was postponed because the person was unable to attend and will be rescheduled for the February 10 meeting.
