The committee asked DOT to solicit voluntary responses from commercial tour operators on safety practices, to collect other publicly available safety information, and to consider a public scoring or transparency system that highlights which companies have adopted best practices. The committee passed the amended measures and directed the agencies to report annually to the legislature and HTA.
