Anoka County board approves intergovernmental contracts, grants, appointments and a settlement

Medical examiner services: The board approved contract C001296 with Roseau County and C001297 with Lake of the Woods County to provide medical examiner services beginning Feb. 2026; counties will be billed per capita with one-year terms and automatic renewal options, and staff were authorized to continue negotiations with additional counties.
Public safety and corrections: The board approved six public safety items including 2026 law enforcement contracts with the City of Columbus (contract C0012066, $547,973, term 01/01/2026–12/31/2026) and the City of Oak Grove (contract C0012091, $1,071,917, term 01/01/2026–12/31/2026); state safety grants for snowmobile ($22,594.26) and off-highway vehicle safety ($24,901.84); a BCA violent…
