County law-enforcement presents quarter-one narcotics and gang-unit results, cites big seizure figures and multiple major investigations

The presenter also said the units seized more than 121 pounds of illegal drugs during January through March and listed several significant investigations: multiple home-invasion cases in the Conway area with arrests; a murder investigation with an arrest; a mass-shooting incident with two arrests; an involuntary manslaughter arrest; and an attempted-murder investigation with an arrest.
Speakers and committee members praised the unit’s work; one member said a local judge commended the street-crimes unit for producing strong cases. The presenter asked that the committee continue its support, saying the units’ activity is intended to target violent offenders and disrupt organized activity in locations the presenter identified.
The presenter spoke from the quarterly slide material and repeatedly thanked staff and council for funding; the committee did not take a separate vote on the report itself.
