Council approves consent agenda, amends inspection services addendum and notes library claim

The Muskego Common Council approved multiple consent items on Jan. 27 and amended an inspection services addendum after a council member requested changes.
The consent agenda included resolutions to approve expenditures for a 2025 utility crane truck and for new city infrastructure equipment. Council pulled Resolution 002-2026 (an addendum to the city’s inspection services agreement) to amend the contract term. Alderman Decker moved to amend the 90-day term to 113 days while keeping the April 23 date; Alderman Hamill seconded. The council approved the amendment and then approved the motion as amended by voice vote.
The council also approved a change-of-agent for a Class A liquor license: Samantha Kurharski for Ultra Mart Foods LLC, DBA Pick 'n Save #381 at the location listed in the packet. The motion to approve the license change passed by voice vote.
Separately, the city attorney informed the council that a notice of claim had been filed after a person fell at the library on Dec. 17, 2025; the insurance company is investigating and no damage figure has been submitted yet. The attorney said the city must await receipt of a damage demand and that the claim was being forwarded to the insurance carrier for review.
