At the meeting, Kevin Yac, who identified himself as working with the Association of Governments, outlined the county's process for capital improvement board (CIB) prioritization and asked each jurisdiction to present its project list to peers.
Yac said the Duchesne County prioritization meeting is scheduled for Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. in the same conference room. He described a move to a digital submission process through the Utah project portal and said staff have offered individual trainings on entering projects. He noted prior-year CIB lists were distributed in the meeting packet and that copies will be available at the Feb. 11 meeting.
The portal is intended to allow jurisdictions to coordinate projects (for example, scheduling water-line work alongside road reconstruction) and reduce duplicate scoring. Yac said the prioritization meeting is mandatory for jurisdictions that wish to keep their CIB lists active; alternate representatives or prior notice are acceptable in cases of conflict.
Yac offered a short tutorial after the prioritization meeting for entities still learning the portal interface. He invited questions and encouraged entities to contact staff if they cannot attend the Feb. 11 session.
