Staff and other commissioners acknowledged both Abby Dickey's service and the urgency of an upcoming APC meeting; they agreed to reappoint Dickey now but asked staff to improve future advertising and posting procedures so the public can apply for openings.
Public commenter Brandy Larkin said she had applied and later discovered additional open seats had not been broadly posted, calling for greater transparency. Commissioners directed staff to post future openings and return with a recommendation in February while not delaying the APC seat consideration for the imminent meeting.
