Tibbetts reports $85,000 auction haul, outlines holiday and family programming

Tibbetts reported a strong fundraising result and a busy holiday schedule to the Coldwater DDA in November 2025.
"We grossed about $85,000, which was excellent," Christine said, thanking donors, volunteers and attendees after the theater’s annual auction. She described format changes to the auction that organizers said improved attendance and revenue.
Christine then reviewed a packed December calendar: a 3 p.m. matinee of Wizards of Winter scheduled to avoid conflicts with the holiday parade; two school-day performances of Peter and the Wolf by the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra woodwind quintet (one already sold out); an evening holiday concert by a string quartet; a family matinee of The Polar Express with a hot-cocoa bar; a magic show on Dec. 19 featuring Jonathan LaChance; a showing of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever with a pizza party; and a January tribute-band booking.
Christine encouraged residents to support Tibbetts through ticket purchases, gift certificates, and merchandise from the theater gift shop. She noted some events were scheduled to accommodate school audiences and community parade activities and thanked the community for support.
What’s next: Tibbetts will continue holiday programming through the end of December and return to regular programming in January. The DDA was updated so promotions and event calendars can be coordinated with downtown activities.
