After the city board adjourned and reconvened as the Beer Board Jan. 27, members considered two licensing items.
The Beer Board approved an on-premises and off-premises beer permit for Common John Brewer Company at 306 North 1st Street. The applicant asked the board to approve the local permit contingent on receiving the state ABC permit; the presiding officer indicated that contingent approval was acceptable and signed off. Mister Massey moved to approve and Missus Miles seconded; roll-call ayes were recorded and the motion carried.
The board also reviewed an updated application for the Elk Lodge in Pulaski related to an ownership/parcel mapping issue that had existed when the property first opened. The application was on file and in order; the board moved to approve, with Mister Massey moving and Mister Worsham seconding. Roll-call votes were recorded as 'Aye' and the item was approved.
The Beer Board did not record any additional conditions beyond the Common John Brewer Company approval being contingent on the applicant obtaining the state ABC permit; state permitting remains an outstanding requirement for that business to open.
