Jackson County supervisors approve minutes, claims and two operating-transfer resolutions

The board approved renewals of special class C retail alcohol licenses. One renewal was for Barnstormers LLC (transcribed address variants appear in the record) effective March 16, 2026 through March 15, 2027; the other renewal was for Preston Valley Golf LLC at 42998 45th Street, Preston, effective Feb. 14, 2026 through Feb. 13, 2027.
On resolutions, the board approved Resolution 1163-01-27-2026 to transfer $50,000 from the general basic fund to the courthouse capital-improvement fund (33001) to formalize set-aside funds for preventive maintenance and capital needs. The board also approved Resolution 1164-01-27-2026 to return $252,196.48 from the FEMA EOC Henson GRAMA fund (27002) to the general basic fund (01000), a reimbursement of costs the county had advanced for the EOC project.
Speaking during the discussion of the FEMA-related transfer, a county official described the result succinctly: "This is basically paying ourselves back," the official said. The board approved all motions and resolutions by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
