Board approves resolution continuing preschool agreement with California Department of Education

"We do ask that you approve the resolution... authorizing the Moreland School District to enter into a transaction with the California Department of Ed.," an administrator said. A trustee made the motion and another trustee seconded; the board adopted the resolution by voice vote with "aye" recorded.
Why it matters: The action continues the district's contractual arrangement with the state for preschool services; staff indicated this was a continuation of an existing agreement rather than a new program or new funding stream.
What's next: Staff will sign the corrected resolution and continue program operations under the existing agreement. The board recorded the approval in open session.
