Board approves appointments and membership dues in brief votes

In short morning business on Jan. 27, the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners approved two routine items.
The board appointed Commissioner West as the county’s representative to the newly consolidated Metro Supportive Housing Services regional policy and oversight committee and approved Commissioner Schroeder as the alternate. The motion passed 5–0.
The board also approved payment of the Association of Oregon Counties 2026 membership dues in the amount of $143,782.09; County staff said the expense is budgeted in general fund appropriations and represents roughly a 2.5% increase from the prior year. The motion passed 5–0.
Tony Marinick told the board the Oregon Poker Club has held a county social gaming license since at least 2018 and staff will place the club’s annual license renewal on the consent agenda for the Feb. 29 business meeting.
