At its Dec. 8 meeting the Ballygan City Council approved several routine fiscal actions, including a purchase order to repair storm-sewer damage and first-quarter budget adjustments.
Staff explained that two large sinkholes formed in 2025 where a 12-inch storm sewer on ****** Road had failed; the city solicited three estimates and recommended awarding PO 26-0844 to Waste Recovery Systems for $17,680 to line approximately 75 feet of the storm sewer. Council moved, seconded and approved the expenditure by voice vote.
Council also approved accounts payable of $369,978.87 and payroll of $148,254.99, for a total of $518,233.86. In addition, Council adopted resolution 25.37 approving the FY2026 first-quarter budget adjustments and internal transfers described in staff reports; staff noted many first-quarter adjustments reflect carryovers from FY2025 and items already approved at council meetings since July 1.
All items were approved by voice votes during the meeting; staff will record and publish the official vouchers and budget adjustment documents per routine practice.
