Payments: The finance department reported accounts payable of $1,619,859.19 and payroll of $131,110.63 for a combined total of $1,750,969.82; council moved to pay and the motion carried.
Rules of procedure: Council considered and adopted amended council rules that eliminate the 5:30 p.m. study session, set regular meetings to begin at 6:00 p.m. and add a second public-comment period at the end of meetings so the public may respond to late-agenda discussion. The amendments will take effect at the Feb. 10 meeting.
Appointments: Council appointed Hannah Bazan (transcript later questioned as 'Bazin') to a Positively Allegan board seat with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2027.
No votes recorded that evening were reported as opposed during the roll-call-supported motions; council proceeded to adjourn at 7:24 p.m.
