Vacation rental permit at 1750 S. State tabled; UDOT access permit required

The Overton Planning and Zoning Commission on Jan. 28 tabled consideration of a conditional use permit for a vacation rental at 1750 South State Street after staff confirmed the application lacked a required access permit from the Utah Department of Transportation.
Angie Cox, who said she manages the property for owner Marlene Cohen, told commissioners the owner lives in California and that she ‘‘submitted the premedian form for that access permit yesterday’’ and that the UDOT process includes a second step in which UDOT staff will review and then email an actual permit form for the town’s file. Commissioners said the UDOT permit must be on file before the commission can approve the application because it is one of the enumerated requirements.
A motion to table the item until next month was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners advised Cox to provide the permit to the office ahead of next month's meeting so the item will be on the file and on the agenda for reconsideration.
