Council issues proclamations honoring Native American Heritage Month, Yolo Philanthropy Awards and DAR semiquincentennial

Jessica Hubbard of the Yolo Community Foundation spoke in support of a proclamation honoring the 2025 Yolo Philanthropy Awards and thanked the city for recognizing honorees who support youth, education and basic needs programs.
Representatives from the Daughters of the American Revolution accepted a proclamation concerning the national semiquincentennial and announced a dedication at Everman Memorial Park the following Saturday. Council members and the presenters discussed local history and the park’s origin.
These proclamations were ceremonial; any related items requiring council action would return to the council as separate agenda items.
