Fayette County approves 911 mapping reimbursement grant and signs agreement

At the meeting commissioners approved a mapping grant for a countywide GIS/911 upgrade and authorized the chair to sign the grant agreement.
Kelly Van Neeer reported the county received the mapping grant for GIS/911 and described the reimbursement schedule: 25% at first quarter, 50% in the second quarter and the remaining 25% at project completion. Van Neeer said the grant is a reimbursement award so the county will pay costs up front and be reimbursed according to the schedule. A signature page was initially missing from the packet but was located and the board approved signing so the vendor and grant administrator can begin work.
The board voted to approve the grant and sign the agreement; the motion passed with three ayes. Commissioners directed staff to return a fully signed copy to Julissa (staff contact referenced) and to ensure the county’s accounting lines are set to accept reimbursements.
