Dan Parker retires; commissioners appoint Brad Coulter to regional planning commission slot

Dan Parker informed commissioners he will retire and thanked the board for years of support. Parker has served in economic development and said he will remain available as needed during transition.
Brad Coulter, introduced as the incoming Edward Growth (EDG) director, said he would like to serve on the Eastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission to maintain continuity; commissioners moved (Dale moved; Tracy second) to appoint Brad Coulter as the county’s representative to the regional planning commission and approved the appointment by voice vote. The board noted the Eastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission consists of six counties (Randolph, Henry, Wayne, Fayette, Rush and Union) and that representation matters for EDA funding eligibility.
Commissioners said they will provide the new director with meeting invites and coordinate regional board participation to support ongoing infrastructure and economic development efforts.
