After the amounts were announced, a motion was made to take the bids under advisement and hand them off to Butler Fairman and Madison Seif for analysis and recommendation.
Commissioner Daryl moved the referral and Commissioner Tracy seconded; the motion carried with three ayes. The board instructed staff to notify Madison Seif of Butler Fairman's review timeline and to return with a recommendation for award at a later meeting.
The action taken at the meeting was procedural: no award was made and no contractor was selected. Commissioners said they will rely on the county’s consultant for a technical evaluation and cost comparison that factors completeness of bids, conformance to specifications and responsiveness to contract terms. A formal award will be scheduled once staff and the consultant complete their review.
