The Lake Elsinore City Council completed its annual reorganization on Dec. 9, electing Councilmember Bob McGee as mayor for 2026 and Timothy Sheridan as mayor pro tem.
The city clerk opened nominations; McGee was the single nominee for mayor and was elected by unanimous roll call. McGee then took the chair and oversaw the election of Timothy Sheridan as mayor pro tem. Council members congratulated outgoing mayor Brian Tisdale for his service and welcomed the newly seated leadership.
Mayor McGee and other council members used the remainder of the meeting for city updates including WinterFest and Sanadash event summaries, a status update on I‑15 express lanes and regional transportation items, and recognitions for student awards and community volunteers. The council adjourned the meeting and scheduled the next regular meeting for Jan. 13, 2026.
