City economic-development staff presented a branding and marketing concept to the Riverside City Council on June 10 aimed at raising the city’s profile with businesses and investors.
Miranda Evans described the work as part of a broader marketing strategy to position Riverside in larger regional and national markets, saying the effort includes a new visual identity, messaging, and a website. Evans said the project began with discovery and benchmarking and included input from a local firm; the next phase will develop the website and roll out materials to support business recruitment.
Council members who had seen the concept at the Development Committee and with the Chamber of Commerce offered support and encouraged continued engagement with local businesses. Evans asked council members to flag missing stakeholders and communities not yet reached so staff can widen outreach.
The branding work is in early stages: staff emphasized that the identity is meant to support economic development and retention, and additional public-facing drafts and materials will appear in coming months.
