Council authorized the mayor or mayor pro tem to negotiate and execute a contract in substantial form with CSC General Contractors for interior renovations at the municipal court location at 1245 Veterans Memorial Highway SW, Suite 30.
City staff said CSC submitted a quote about $100,000 lower than competing proposals and has worked on recent city projects. Chad Kasman described the scope as the build-out of the new court facility a few doors down from City Hall and said remaining contract details (deliverables, timeframes, indemnities) are expected to be resolved quickly by city attorney and procurement staff.
Council included authority for the mayor or mayor pro tem to execute the agreement in the motion; the authorization carried by voice vote. Staff will finalize contract language with standard indemnity and deliverable terms and return any administratively required materials as needed.
