David Valerstein, community media coordinator, presented Marshall Broadcasting’s 2025 annual report to the council on Jan. 27 and recognized volunteer producer Angie Holton with a certificate of recognition.
Valerstein described the station as a community-media public-access operation serving Marshfield, highlighting live coverage of city meetings (hours cited), remote live events, recorded studio programming and online viewership. He said the station is evaluating digital distribution and noted declines on some platforms and growth on others; he also announced plans to add a 30-minute local newscast to expand community reporting.
Valerstein presented metrics including nearly 100 hours of continuous meeting coverage if played straight through, remote live broadcast hours and total online view counts. The presentation named new programs added in 2025 and noted Marshall Broadcasting’s outreach and sponsorship model for local events, and Valerstein closed by thanking volunteers and the communications department.
